A NEw England community for ISTDP

The New England Center for ISTDP is an organization designed for clinicians who are interested in ISTDP, and patients who want to find ISTDP providers. The Center has three missions:

  1. The Center provides education and training opportunities for therapists at all levels, from those just beginning to learn the basics of ISTDP to those who have been practicing for years. In-person events, webinars, and educational retreats will all be hosted through the Center. You do not need to be a member to attend or present. Check back regularly for updates about upcoming events.

  2. The Center serves as a community hub, organizing social events, meet and greets, and retreats for ISTDP therapists in the New England area. Upcoming events will be listed on the site and through the mailing list.

  3. The Center maintains a directory of clinicians in New England who have completed a 3-year core training in ISTDP and identify as practicing ISTDP. This directory is available as a resource for the public.

Hi, Iā€™m Jonathan Entis

I started the New England Center for ISTDP as a way to provide three things I thought were missing from the New England area. First, I wanted to create a localized center for providing training opportunities in ISTDP and related therapies. Second, I wanted to foster community amongst therapists who practice ISTDP and related therapies. Finally, I wanted to provide prospective patients with a comprehensive list of all clinicians in New England who practice ISTDP.

A little about me: I am a licensed psychologist (MA license #10695, NY license 024011) providing psychotherapy to adults of all ages. I practice Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), and am an IEDTA-Certified Teacher in ISTDP. In addition to working clinically with this model, I also supervise and teach other ISTDP clinicians. I love food, the outdoors, running, art, music, film, people, dogs, and laughing. If you want to learn more about me, please see my site.
